Bookkeeper for Small Construction and Property Management Company Company Overview Based in Hampton, NH for over 35 years, DeNiro Corporation is a small commercial construction company also providing property management services for commercial properties. Job Overview DeNiro Corporation is seeking an organized problem solver looking to join our team as a full-time construction bookkeeper and property management coordinator. The ideal candidate should have 2+ years of experience with bookkeeping in the construction and/or property management industry. This position is responsible for, but not limited to, maintaining the day-to-day accounting functions of A/R, A/P, and G/L along with coordinating property management matters. This position is best suited for someone who enjoys working in a smaller, active, fast-paced office environment. As part of the Finance Department, this position interacts with other members of the Finance Department, Property Management, and Construction Managers; as well as Sub-Contractors, Tenants, and local agencies or authorities as needed. Experience with Job Costing associated with multiple on-going construction projects is a plus. However, the company will provide job-costing training as needed. Duties Manage Accounts Payable invoice process including approval verification, data entry, account coding, job costing, and processing payments for multiple jobs. Manage Accounts Receivable billing process including job and labor costs for job contracts along with payment collection. Reconcile and enter credit card charges from the monthly statement. Maintain accurate vendor information including addresses, Federal EIN numbers, W-9s to process 1099 tax forms for year-end. Complete year-end General Liability Insurance Audit. Manage all incoming calls associated with construction and property management divisions. Maintain the filing, scanning, building files and organization of documents for all jobs and projects. Support the Property Management division with tenant leases, certificates of Insurance and scheduled maintenance of work. Plus, any other office responsibilities as needed. Qualifications Associate's degree in accounting. Minimum 2 years in a bookkeeping position A thorough knowledge of QuickBooks desktop version Experience with Microsoft Office 365 products, specifically Excel and the ability to understand & create spreadsheets Must have a clear understanding of construction terms and accounting practices Strong organizational skills, problem solving and attention to detail are needed Ability to manage priorities, workflow and follow up Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to work well independently as well as in a team environment
Pay:
$55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
