Job Description

Self Directed Direct Support Professional / Community Mentor/Applied Behavioral Analysis Make a Difference. Build a Meaningful Connection. We are seeking a motivated and engaging mentor to support a young man with developmental disabilities as he continues to thrive and grow within his community. This is not a traditional caregiver role. We are looking for someone who can be a coach, mentor, and positive influence—someone who values building a genuine relationship based on respect, trust, accountability, and shared experiences. The individual you will support is highly social, self-determined, friendly, energetic, and optimistic. He enjoys connecting with others, loves conversation, and sees the good in everyone. He is motivated to live a full and active life and is looking for someone who will actively engage with him and help him continue developing important life and social skills.
Responsibilities Include:
Providing mentorship and guidance in social and emotional situations Assisting with friendship building, peer connections, and community involvement Supporting skill development related to independence, organization, and time management Helping navigate dating and relationship situations in a respectful and appropriate manner Encouraging accountability and helping process situations from multiple perspectives Assisting with planning activities, setting goals, and following through on commitments Promoting self-advocacy, confidence, and personal growth Participating in community outings and shared interests

Rate of Pay :
$25 an hour
Schedule:
3 days a week, 4 hours a day, 12 hours total. No set days or times
