May also assist owners or a board of directors with regulatory compliance or compliance with community association rules. Manages the operation of commercial or residential properties. Oversees the collection of rents and payment of bills, taxes and insurance for properties, and provides property owners with reports on finances and the status of properties. Directs leasing operations, or equipment and machinery rentals, for a company or business. Determines charges and prepares rental or lease agreements; supervises inventory, equipment maintenance and recordkeeping for leasing operations.

Job Description

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized Tenancy Manager with strong people management skills to lead tenancy operations across our portfolio. This role oversees key administrative functions while ensuring compliance with property management, tenancy, and Fair Housing laws and regulations. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, effective communication skills, and the ability to coordinate closely with legal, property management, and residents to support tenancy operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and supervise a team handling tenancy administration and front desk operations Oversee NTC and NTQ processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local laws Lead lease renewal tracking, outreach, and execution Oversee court filings, court status reporting, and tracking legal actions related to tenancy to executive team Maintain accurate documentation and reporting on eviction proceedings and legal outcomes Guide attorneys, attend court cases, and take the lead in coordinating legal strategy related to tenancy matters Prepare and deliver regular reports on; court filings and status, tenant balances and collections, subsidy compliance Ensure adherence to all local, state, and federal housing regulations Manage subsidy accounts including certifications, recertifications, and compliance Review and approve resident credit requests in line with company policies Maintain accurate tenant records and lease documentation Improve and standardize operational workflows and SOPs Act as escalation point for complex tenancy issues Collaborate with Property Management, Legal, and Accounting teams Train, coach, and develop staff for performance and accountability Track KPIs such as renewal rates, notice activity, and turnaround times Actively support the overall success of the Tenancy Department by collaborating with coworkers, providing assistance during absences, peak workloads, or operational needs, cross-training as requested, and performing other duties assigned by management to ensure continuous, efficient departmental operations. Contribute to special projects or initiatives assigned by property management leadership.
Qualifications:
5+ years of property management or tenancy administration experience 2+ years of supervisory or management experience Strong knowledge of landlord-tenant laws and lease administration Experience with subsidy programs Strong organizational and communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office and property management systems
Salary :
$70,000 - $80,000 base
