Job Description

Job Summary We are an office based in Mahwah NJ seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Property Manager to join our dynamic property management team. In this vital role, you will support the overall operations of residential and commercial properties throughout Essex and Passaic County NJ, ensuring smooth leasing processes, exceptional tenant relations, and efficient property maintenance. This position is 90% on the road and 10% in office. Duties Collect rent payments from tenants as needed Collect lease renewal paperwork Post notices and deliver mail to properties Pick up mail from the New City PO Box and bring it to the office (in mahwah) Review and approve Home Depot orders for maintenance technicians Conduct monthly property inspections Provide access to properties for inspections, vendors, and contractors when needed Coordinate move-outs, including key pickup and move-out inspections Attend nonpayment court appearances alongside our attorney Complete all assigned field and on-the-road tasks in a timely manner Follow up on property-related items and ensure assigned tasks are completed Qualifications Must have a valid driver's license and reliable vehicle to travel between properties and office, (and must be willing to drive into Essex and Passaic county properties daily) Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Google Sheets Experience with rent management software is a plus Previous property management experience is a plus Strong time-management skills and the ability to efficiently handle multiple on-the-road tasks Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines Clear and professional communication with team members Reliable, organized, and able to work independently while staying in communication with the team Join our team as an Assistant Property Manager and be part of a vibrant organization dedicated to delivering outstanding property services! Pay:
$19.00 - $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
