- Community Manager We are seeking candidates for a Full-Time Community Manager position to handle all operational, leasing, and financial aspects of our luxury apartment community in Waldwick, NJ, with potential for the role to expand to other properties in the future.
The ideal candidate would have:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills: The Community Manager will communicate with ownership daily about the property. This includes the ability to email, text, and call. An email address and dedicated phone line will be provided.
- A positive, customer-centric attitude: The Community Manager will regularly interact with prospective and current tenants who need assistance or may be looking to rent an apartment in our community.
Basic AR/AP and Bookkeeping Skills:
This person will be responsible for collecting rents (mostly submitted electronically and automatically), making payments to vendors, and entering deposits and payments into Yardi software.- Competency in MS Office and Excel is a plus.
- Some experience in property management and/or leasing.
Other duties:
- Serve as the leasing contact for prospective tenants:
- Implement the marketing of the property through multiple channels;
- Field inquiries and respond in a timely manner;
- Schedule and handle tours;
- Process application paperwork;
- Encourage prospective tenants to lease in our community by positioning the property in a favorable light and offering the best possible customer service;
- Make all reasonable efforts to achieve strong leasing outcomes;
- Prepare and manage lease renewals and new leases
- Supervise the property's maintenance technician, other staff (if applicable), and certain third-party vendors to ensure that all common areas are in excellent condition
- Maintain a positive, productive relationship with tenants
- Address tenants' concerns or issues in a timely manner
- Collect receivable accounts and handle operating expenses, and make entries into our bookkeeping software
- Generate standard financial reports on a monthly basis
- Maintain records of any complaints, maintenance issues, incidents, etc.
- Oversee compliance with any town/city/state-mandated compliance matters such as building inspections, elevator or fire alarm inspections, tagging of fire extinguishers, etc.
- Other miscellaneous property management duties, on an as-needed basis General conditions:
