Job Description
We have two front-line management opportunities, supporting people with developmental and intellectual disabilities, at our Ridge and Foggintown programs. Ridge is located in the center of Carmel in walking distance to town. The nine men that live at Ridge enjoy occasionally walking to town for events and to visit local restaurants. The men at Ridge have a great sense of humor and enjoy joking with staff while working along-side them to achieve their goals. Foggintown is an 11-bed residence set back from the road in a quiet residential neighborhood in Brewster, NY. We are conveniently located near walking trails, restaurants, and shopping areas. The individuals who live here are a mixed group of young adults and older folks who enjoy a combination of quiet relaxation and laid-back outings. Each has a unique personality and their own way of communicating and forming relationships. Most have lived together for many years and feel like a family, but they welcome new, friendly faces. They enjoy personal attention and many benefit from hands-on assistance with personal hygiene and daily living skills Responsibilities for this seasoned manager include supervising staff and assuring that plans of care are followed for the individuals we support. This experienced manager will possess an Associates or Bachelors degree in Psychology, Human Services or a related field, and will have strong organizational skills and supervisory experience. Previous experience supporting individuals with disabilities is highly preferred. The Arc Mid-Hudson offers an extensive and informative new hire orientation in a comfortable learning environment.
