This role is perfect for you if you have experience in fitness leadership, Pilates or group fitness instruction, sales, and team management, and thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy, boutique studio environment. You will balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution, coaching classes, mentoring staff, and ensuring every member has an exceptional FS8 experience. You will also help grow the studio through community engagement, marketing initiatives, and operational excellence. This Role Is a Great Fit If… You have experience managing a fitness studio, Pilates studio, or boutique group fitness operation You are confident coaching classes and engaging members directly You have a background in Pilates, yoga, functional training, or group fitness instruction You are team-oriented, consistent, and accountable, setting a positive example for staff and members You have strong sales skills and a history of meeting KPIs and driving membership growth You enjoy building community partnerships and engaging with local businesses You want to mentor a team and develop a high-performing, collaborative culture Key Responsibilities Operations & Sales Drive ongoing membership growth and revenue to meet or exceed monthly sales and retention KPIs Track leads, trials, conversions, cancellations, and freezes; follow up to maximize conversion and minimize churn Review studio performance reports on a regular basis and put action plans in place to close gaps Maintain studio cleanliness, organization, and equipment standards, including routine maintenance, repairs, and supply and retail inventory Manage email, virtual communications, and member inquiries promptly and professionally, and resolve member concerns and escalations Open and close the studio, including setup and breakdown, and make sure daily operating procedures are followed Coaching & Member Engagement Coach a minimum of 12 classes per week (flexibility for coverage as needed) Build strong relationships with members to foster retention, loyalty, and community Monitor member attendance and engagement; reach out to inactive or at-risk members Clearly explain FS8 programming and membership options to prospective members, and present upgrades and renewals to current members Plan and host member events, challenges, and milestone celebrations to strengthen the studio community Collaborate with marketing and social media teams on promotions, referral programs, and campaigns Staff Leadership & Development Hire, train/onboard, and oversee studio staff (Trainers and Front of House), including backfilling open roles Conduct trainer evaluations on an agreed-upon cadence (based on trainer tenure) and provide ongoing coaching and feedback Manage staff schedules and payroll hours to ensure adequate coverage for all classes while controlling labor costs Host regular team meetings to maintain operational standards and clear communication Communicate consistently with staff regarding updates, program changes, and member data Develop high-performing team members and identify future leaders Community & Business Development Grow and maintain relationships with local businesses and community organizations to support B2B partnerships and referral channels Represent FS8 at local events and in the community to build brand awareness and generate new leads Requirements & Expectations Prior experience in a leadership role within the fitness industry preferred Experience in Pilates, group fitness, or functional training Experience with Mindbody Business Online or similar studio management software Strong sales and retention skills with proven KPI success Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities Able to reliably commute to and from the studio for early morning, midday, evening, and weekend shifts Weekday early morning, midday, evening, and weekend availability required Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment
