Job Description

Property Manager | Ithaca, NY An established property management organization is seeking an experienced Property Manager to oversee a residential community in Ithaca, New York. The role calls for a leader who can guide an onsite team, manage the details of daily operations, and deliver strong financial and resident service results. The Role You will be responsible for the community's leasing, maintenance, resident relations, finances, and overall performance. You will work with onsite employees and corporate partners to set priorities, resolve issues, and keep operations running effectively. What You'll Do Lead the team Supervise employees in the Maintenance and Property Operations departments. Participate in recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding new team members. Plan and assign work; provide training, coaching, performance evaluations, recognition, and development. Address performance concerns through the appropriate disciplinary process and resolve workplace issues. Build a collaborative team environment that supports employee engagement. Manage the community Lead the Leasing and Maintenance teams to support occupancy goals and follow established leasing and marketing procedures. Work with corporate teams on rental rates, renewals, and other property initiatives. Oversee maintenance operations, property and grounds standards, and projects within approved budgets. Respond to resident concerns promptly and professionally. Ensure operations follow company policies, procedures, and Fair Housing requirements. Oversee financial and vendor activity Prepare the annual property budget for approval and provide monthly financial and variance reports. Oversee purchase orders, invoices, rent collection, and applicable processes related to nonpayment. Request and evaluate vendor bids for property projects and submit recommendations for approval. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Fair Housing Certification required. Three to five years of residential property management experience required. One to three years of supervisory experience required. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and property management software; OneSite experience preferred. Experience processing purchase orders and invoices. Strong understanding of leasing, resident relations, maintenance operations, budgeting, and financial reporting. Compensation and Benefits Base salary:
$70,000-$85,000 per year, depending on experience. Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance. Paid time off and a 401(k) with company matching. Professional development assistance and opportunities for advancement.
