Job Description As a Security Officer Residential Housing in Jamaica, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential Housing.

Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a Residential Housing location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents. AM What You'll Do:
Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at the location. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts and/or first responders as needed. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the building, common areas, entry points, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns. Monitor access to the location by observing entrances and exits, verifying permitted entry, and reporting unusual activity, policy violations, and/or maintenance-related issues to the appropriate personnel. Support a structured and respectful environment by providing directions, assisting with de-escalation when appropriate, and following post orders related to resident services and daily operations.
Minimum Requirements:
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
