As a Security Officer Residential Shelter in New York, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential Shelters. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol a residential shelter community, maintaining a visible presence that helps deter incidents. You will conduct routine rounds, respond to security-related concerns, support residents and visitors with exceptional customer service, and communicate clearly with site contacts. AM What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and/or service providers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities. Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures. Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of residential common areas, building entrances, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions. Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site-specific policies, helping to maintain an orderly residential environment. Prepare accurate incident reports, patrol logs, and daily activity records, and communicate relevant observations to site leadership and Allied Universal management.

Minimum Requirements:

CPR/First Aid certification is preferred. A Guard Card/License is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
