A Property Manager manages operations for an apartment building or complex. Recruits and screens tenants for apartments, collects rents and security deposits, responds to requests or complaints from tenants, supervises maintenance and repairs; oversees payment of bills, insurance, taxes and recordkeeping. Manages property and services on behalf of a community association, for properties such as condominiums or cooperatives. Collects fees or dues, responds to requests or complaints, supervises maintenance, oversees work done by contractors, and provides accounting of income and expenses. May also assist owners or a board of directors with regulatory compliance or compliance with community association rules. Manages the operation of commercial or residential properties. Oversees the collection of rents and payment of bills, taxes and insurance for properties, and provides property owners with reports on finances and the status of properties. Directs leasing operations, or equipment and machinery rentals, for a company or business. Determines charges and prepares rental or lease agreements; supervises inventory, equipment maintenance and recordkeeping for leasing operations.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced, organized, and reliable Property Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our portfolio of properties. This is an office-based, full-time position for someone who can take ownership of tenant and property matters and make sure issues are followed through from start to finish.
Responsibilities:
Manage tenant communications, concerns, and complaints Follow up on rent collection and outstanding balances Handle lease renewals, expirations, and other lease-related matters Coordinate repairs, maintenance, contractors, and vendors Track and address property violations, notices, and compliance issues Communicate with attorneys, contractors, tenants, and government agencies as needed Maintain organized records for each property and tenant Follow up on open issues until they are resolved Keep ownership updated on important matters Assist with vacancies, new tenants, and property-related paperwork
Qualifications:
Prior property management or real estate management experience preferred Knowledge of NYC rental properties, leases, violations, and landlord/tenant matters strongly preferred Strong communication and problem-solving skills Highly organized and able to manage multiple properties and issues at once Comfortable dealing directly with tenants, vendors, attorneys, and city agencies Responsible, professional, and dependable Computer and office skills required We are looking for someone who can become the main point person for the day-to-day management of our properties and help keep the entire portfolio organized and running smoothly.

From $25.00 per hour
