Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Home Health Aides to provide high-quality care to clients in their homes. This role involves assisting individuals with daily living activities, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being. The ideal candidate will have experience in senior care, home health, or long-term care environments, with a strong focus on patient-centered support. Candidates should be committed to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to healthcare regulations such as HIPAA. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those requiring assistance due to age, disability, or illness. Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor and observe patient conditions, reporting changes or concerns promptly Administer medications and manage medical documentation accurately in EMR/EHR systems Perform vital signs checks and assist with catheter care, wound care, and other medical tasks as trained Support patients with memory care needs such as Alzheimer's and dementia care Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being Assist with meal preparation and feeding, ensuring dietary restrictions are followed Light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe environment Use equipment such as Hoyer lifts safely for patient transfers Document all care activities in compliance with healthcare regulations and privacy standards Skills Proven experience working with seniors or individuals with disabilities in home or community settings Knowledge of medical terminology and medical documentation procedures Certification in CPR and first aid required; additional certifications such as hospice or dementia care are a plus Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for accurate record keeping Ability to work independently while following care plans closely Excellent communication skills for interacting effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals Compassionate caregiving attitude with patience and empathy Ability to handle sensitive information in accordance with HIPAA regulations Experience working with assisted living facilities or nursing homes is advantageous Physical stamina for assisting patients with mobility and performing light housekeeping tasks Qualifications HHA or PCA Certification 1 Year experience in caregiving Bilingual This role is vital in supporting the health and independence of clients while fostering a safe and caring environment.
