AM What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and service providers by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a shelter location. Monitor entry and exit points, verify authorized access, maintain visitor and delivery records, and report access concerns in accordance with site procedures. Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site personnel and/or emergency services as directed. Conduct regular and random patrols of designated interior and exterior areas, including entrances, common areas, and perimeter locations, and document observations and security-related incidents. Support a respectful, welcoming environment by communicating professionally with individuals experiencing housing instability and following established de-escalation and incident-reporting procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

Customer service experience is preferred. A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
