A Residential Assistant or Advisor works in a residential mental health, long-term care, or substance abuse treatment facility and provides support for patients, including resolving conflicts, helping them adjust to their environment, and alleviating concerns. Performs inspections and assists with move-ins and facility programming.
Min USD $17.23/Hr. Max USD $19.23/Hr. Position Overview The Residential Aide will work under the supervision of the Program Director and provide shift coverage, with possibility of flexible, rotating shift schedule, and weekend coverage.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Monitor participant safety and safety of the premises Conduct facility runs to ensure security, safety and program standards are maintained Disseminate pertinent information to the participants Monitor surveillance system Write incident reports Document hourly observations of the premises in log book Attend training as assigned Other duties as requested by supervisor Qualifications
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma Experience working with people experiencing homelessness in congregate setting Experience in de-escalation Knowledge of AWARDS, Word, Excel, and Outlook Experience providing excellent customer service
PREFFERED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
Bilingual in Spanish a plus
