This role ensures a safe, supportive, and person-centered environment while maintaining compliance with Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities (DODD) rules. The House Manager leads direct support staff, coordinates services, and promotes quality outcomes for individuals served. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Program & Residential Oversight Oversee day-to-day operations of the home, ensuring a safe, clean, and well-maintained living environment Ensure implementation of individual Service Plans (ISPs) and support person-centered outcomes Coordinate medical, behavioral, and community supports as outlined in care plans Monitor health and safety needs, including medication administration oversight and incident prevention Staff Supervision & Leadership Supervise, coach, and support Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) Assist with hiring, onboarding, scheduling, and performance management Provide ongoing training, modeling best practices in person-centered care Promote staff accountability, engagement, and teamwork Compliance & Documentation Ensure compliance with Ohio DODD rules, Medicaid waiver requirements, and agency policies Oversee documentation including daily notes, incident reports, MARs, and ISP data Participate in internal reviews, audits, and compliance monitoring Address and report incidents according to DODD standards Individual & Family Collaboration Serve as a primary point of contact for individuals served, families, guardians, and SSA/Case Managers Support individuals in community integration, independence, and skill development Advocate for individual rights, dignity, and informed choice Administrative & Operational Duties Manage household budgets, supplies, and petty cash Coordinate transportation, appointments, and activities Assist with staffing coverage as needed to ensure continuity of care Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor's degree in human services or related field preferred Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in developmental disabilities or residential services Prior supervisory or lead experience preferred Knowledge of Ohio DODD rules and Medicaid waiver services strongly preferred Valid Ohio driver's license with a personal vehicle and acceptable driving record Ability to pass background checks and required trainings Required Skills & Competencies Strong leadership and communication skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Knowledge of person-centered practices and trauma-informed care Problem-solving, decision-making, and conflict resolution skills Proficiency with documentation systems and basic computer skills Physical & Work Requirements Ability to assist individuals with mobility, personal care, and daily living activities Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays and on-call as needed
Pay:
From $19.50 per hour Expected hours: 30.0 - 40.0 per week
