An Assistant Property Manager assists and provides support to the manager of a property or complex. May oversee the maintenance of the buildings. May also provide information about the community to prospective residents, and troubleshoot issues with the buildings and community residents.

General Description:
As a Leasing Agent and Assistant Property Manager, you will play a vital role in the success of our apartment communities by leasing available units, assisting prospective tenants, renewing current leases, and providing excellent customer service. You will be responsible for ensuring that our residents have a positive leasing experience and that our properties are leased at optimal occupancy levels.

Greet and assist prospective and current tenants in a courteous and professional manner. Answer phones, manage front office activities, and provide exceptional customer service. Ability to multi-task a variety of administrative duties while maintaining a pleasant and approachable demeanor when assisting residents, prospects, vendors, and team members. Conduct property tours to showcase available units and highlight amenities. Strong communication skills are essential as this role involves daily, close communication with the property manager, maintenance team and vendors. Tour properties daily to ensure neatness, attractiveness, and good repair. Provide information on pricing, leasing terms, and application processes. Follow up with potential tenants to answer questions and facilitate the leasing process. Respond to inquiries via phone, email, and in-person promptly and professionally. Address resident concerns and maintenance requests with a sense of urgency. Maintain a friendly and helpful demeanor when interacting with residents and prospective tenants. Accurately complete lease agreements and related paperwork. Conduct background checks and credit screening for prospective tenants. Maintain up-to-date records of leasing activities, resident information, and apartment availability. Stay knowledgeable about the properties, its amenities, and the surrounding neighborhood. Complete new resident move-in process which includes full review of the lease and associated paperwork and ensures proper signatures. Collect and maintain rent payments, security deposits, and application fees. Develop and maintain a resident wait list as needed. Develop and implement resident retention programs (i.e., resident functions, special promotions, monthly newsletters, etc.) Oversee open houses for prospective tenants. Assist Property Manager with various tasks.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent; college education preferred. Previous leasing or customer service experience. Ability to travel between surrounding multifamily communities within the portfolio as needed. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills. Strong organizational and time management skills. Proficiency in using property management software and basic computer applications. Experience with or strong working knowledge of RealPage OneSite preferred.

From $21.00 per hour
