A Property Manager manages operations for an apartment building or complex. Recruits and screens tenants for apartments, collects rents and security deposits, responds to requests or complaints from tenants, supervises maintenance and repairs; oversees payment of bills, insurance, taxes and recordkeeping. Manages property and services on behalf of a community association, for properties such as condominiums or cooperatives. Collects fees or dues, responds to requests or complaints, supervises maintenance, oversees work done by contractors, and provides accounting of income and expenses. May also assist owners or a board of directors with regulatory compliance or compliance with community association rules. Manages the operation of commercial or residential properties. Oversees the collection of rents and payment of bills, taxes and insurance for properties, and provides property owners with reports on finances and the status of properties. Directs leasing operations, or equipment and machinery rentals, for a company or business. Determines charges and prepares rental or lease agreements; supervises inventory, equipment maintenance and recordkeeping for leasing operations.

Job Description

We are seeking a friendly, organized, and dependable Property Management Coordinator to join our team. This is a full-time, in office position that serves as an important point of contact between our residents, prospective tenants, maintenance team, and office staff. The ideal candidate is personable, professional, comfortable communicating with a variety of people, and able to stay organized while handling multiple tasks throughout the day. While this position will assist with leasing, the primary focus will be resident communication, maintenance coordination, and general office support.
Responsibilities:
Answer incoming phone calls. This person will be the first point of contact when our main office is called and will answer questions or direct the calls to the appropriate party. Provide friendly and professional customer service to current and prospective residents. Receive, document, and coordinate resident maintenance requests. Communicate maintenance needs and scheduling information with our maintenance staff. Follow up with residents regarding requests, appointments, and other property-related matters. Assist in the leasing process which may include sending lease renewals, scheduling tours, following up on rental payments, etc. Assist with notices, correspondence, paperwork, filing, and other administrative duties.
Qualifications:
Previous customer service and/or office administrative experience. Property management experience is preferred but not required. Strong verbal and written communication skills Friendly, professional, and comfortable interacting with residents and the public. Basic computer skills and ability to learn property management software. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. We are looking for someone who enjoys working with people and takes pride in providing excellent customer service. This person should be a strong communicator who can help keep our office, residents, and maintenance staff connected and organized. Pay:
$18.00 - $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
