Job Description

  • Oversee and participate in the day-to-day supports necessary to enhance life skills and community engagement for each individual assigned to the facility location.
  • Maintain monthly activity and outing calendar.
  • Supervise, coach, and evaluate all staff at the facility; includes managing personnel issues, ensuring compliance to agency's personnel policies, and evaluating and reducing turnover.
  • Assist with providing Non-Medical Transportation (NMT) as needed.
  • Ensure appropriate communication systems are in place between Day and residential program/provider.
  • Ensure that required documentation (e.g. ADS Supports, Measurements, Outcomes, and Progress Notes) regarding the personal progress and skill development of each participant is ongoing and up to date and provide recommendations regarding the participants to the Program Supervisor, or the Qualified Intellectual Disability Professional (QIDP).
  • Maintain positive, proactive, and communicative relationships with all individuals/ families/guardians to ensure all parties involved with that individual stay informed and involved. Intervene immediately to attend to any issues or potential issues that may arise with an individual/ family member/guardian, working directly with the appropriate contact person.
  • Attend ISP Meetings
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of all individual ISPs—including all medical, psychiatric, behavioral, nutritional, social and physical needs and ensure that staff are trained and adhering to each ISP.
  • Monitor and approve timesheets/punches, mileage reimbursements, time off requests and leaves of absences for all direct reports. Communicate with, supervisor, HR and payroll as needed and ensure all necessary documentation is complete and submitted.
  • Work directly with HR on all
FMLA/LOA
requests, Worker's Compensation, ADA and employee corrective actions.
  • Document issues pertaining to staff corrective action and work with HR to address.
  • Participate in individual tours and admissions/discharges of available day services.
  • Complete and submit all staff status change forms to HR accurately and timely.
  • Ensure that each individual is involved in their community and that community opportunities are planned and executed by staff.
  • Ensure that the facility is in compliance with all regulations—including fire drills, severe weather drills, crisis and emergency plans. Document accordingly and maintain those documents as required.
  • Ensure facility is equipped to handle emergencies and stocked with appropriate supplies/kits and that staff and individuals require for a successful day.
  • Directly communicate with individual, ISP team members on needs that must be addressed to successfully develop supports to meet the individual needs.
  • Provide information with individual input to appropriate persons during pre-ISP meetings in preparation for ISP development and outcome development.
  • Provide training and hands on demonstration as needed to all individuals and staff to ensure competency of ISP supports.
  • Identify the facility hiring needs and work directly with supervisor and HR Recruiter to notify them of any openings and hiring needs.
  • Train, evaluate and mentor all direct reports, including annual performance evaluations and ongoing feedback and coaching.
  • Oversee the individual and or facility banking/budgeting needs according to the individual ISP and agency procedure.
  • Oversee the facility monthly budget ensuring expenses are aligned with budget. If expenses exceed budget understand and account for overages.
  • Complete Regular Audits for community center funds as well as personal client funds (Quarterly)
  • Oversee the facility monthly revenue and ensure that all billing is done accurately and timely and that utilization is maximized. Report to supervisor the under/overbilling issues on a weekly basis.
  • Oversee staff scheduling—including monitoring overtime and ensuring OT budgets are not exceeded and staffing is appropriate to meet individual needs.
  • In concert with HR, ensure staff members are in compliance with all mandated trainings including ISP/IST training.
  • Assist in the MUI investigation process as requested.
  • Ensure all UIR's are reported and documented on the correct UIR form timely and accurately.
  • Participate and ensure all staff are knowledgeable and prepared for Licensure and Medicaid surveys (where applicable).
  • Coordinate and facilitate meetings with staff on a regular basis (Quarterly Meetings Minimum)
  • Work directly with HR on building solid leadership abilities, including thorough the understanding of HR policies and practices.
  • Attendance is a required and essential expectation of the job.
  • This position is not eligible for remote work.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What You'll Do As the Adult Day Support Manager, you will: Lead, coach, and support a team of Direct Support Professionals and Team Leaders. Ensure high-quality services that promote independence, life skills, and community engagement. Foster positive relationships with individuals served, families, guardians, and interdisciplinary teams. Oversee program operations, staff scheduling, training, documentation, budgeting, and regulatory compliance. Develop creative community activities and opportunities that enrich the lives of the individuals we support. Participate in ISP meetings and ensure services align with individual goals and outcomes. What We're Looking For High school diploma or GED required; college coursework preferred. At least 1 year of supervisory experience. At least 1 year of experience in developmental disabilities, social services, or a related field. Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer applications. Valid Ohio driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of insurance. CPR/First Aid certifications (or willingness to obtain and maintain required certifications). Why Join Welcome House?   • Age 21 or older
  • United States Citizen or resident alien
  • The ability to lift 50 pounds and demonstrate safe lifts, turns, positions and transfers for individuals with physical limitations and defined by the ISP.
  • Must have excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Must have solid computer skills and understanding of MS Word, Excel and e-mail.
  • Must have strong organizational, critical thinking and time management skills.
  • Must demonstrate interpersonal skills, integrity and ability to lead others.
  • Must have a belief in and understanding of agency's mission and ability to promote and communicate the philosophy, mission and values to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Valid Ohio Driver's License with fewer than three violations in the past three years and no convictions of OVI, vehicular homicide, driving without a suspension, or tickets over 10+ mph.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Must have satisfactory health, background check.
  • Must be willing to be flexible with work schedule to meet the needs of the individuals that are supported.
  • Must maintain Med Cert 1 certification.
  • Must complete 8 hours of Annual Training each year.
  • Must be able to engage individuals in the community and develop community membership.
  • Must remain current with CPR/First Aid certifications.
  • Must Provide proof of auto insurance.
