Leasing Manager LIHTC

Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Leasing Manager specializing in Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) properties to lead our leasing operations and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. In this role, you will oversee the leasing process, manage tenant relationships, and coordinate with property management teams to maximize occupancy and revenue. Duties Manage the entire leasing cycle for LIHTC properties, including marketing, tenant screening, lease negotiations, and move-ins. Ensure all leasing activities comply with LIHTC regulations, Fair Housing laws, Section 8 guidelines, and other relevant legal requirements. Utilize property management software such as Yardi and OneSite to maintain accurate data entry, tenant records, and lease documentation. Conduct legal administrative tasks related to lease contracts, renewal notices, and compliance documentation. Coordinate with property management teams to oversee property maintenance requests and facilities management activities. Develop and implement sales strategies to increase occupancy rates through upselling amenities or lease options. Handle conflict management with tenants or applicants professionally while maintaining positive customer relationships. Maintain thorough filing systems for legal documents, contracts, and compliance records; support data entry and recordkeeping efforts using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System). Provide exceptional customer service via phone etiquette, in-person interactions, and written communication to foster strong tenant relationships. Stay informed of Fair Housing regulations and ensure all leasing practices adhere strictly to these standards. Requirements Proven experience with LIHTC programs, Section 8 housing vouchers, and related federal housing initiatives. Strong knowledge of Yardi, OneSite or similar property management software; experience with data entry and reporting is essential. Legal administrative experience focusing on lease contracts, landlord-tenant law, and compliance documentation. Familiarity with Fair Housing regulations and conflict management techniques within property management settings. Background in real estate administrative tasks including filing, contract negotiation, and facilities management coordination. Excellent customer service skills combined with professional phone etiquette; ability to upsell amenities effectively. Office experience involving data entry, filing systems, customer relationship management (CRM), and general administrative support. Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. Strong negotiation skills for lease agreements and renewal processes; experience with contracts is highly preferred. Knowledge of property maintenance processes and facilities management practices is a plus.
