The City of Hillsboro Library is seeking a Community Digital Literacy Supervisor to lead innovative, community-centered services that expand digital access and build confidence with technology. Position Overview & Key Responsibilities The Community Digital Literacy Supervisor leads a team focused on digital literacy, community engagement, and equitable access to technology. This role blends day-to-day supervision with strategic planning, ensuring services are responsive, consistent, and aligned with community needs and City priorities.
What You'll Be Doing:
Supervise Community Librarians, Digital Navigators, and related staff Provide coaching, performance management, and professional development Oversee digital literacy programs, services, and community engagement efforts Use data, feedback, and trends to improve services and guide decisions Build partnerships with community organizations, schools, and local agencies Support staff training and development in digital tools and technology support Address complex patron concerns and escalated service issues Assist with budgeting, reporting, and operational planning Current & Upcoming Projects Develop and implement a systemwide vision for digital literacy services Pilot new approaches to digital navigation, including 1:1 support and workshops Expand partnerships to increase digital access for underserved populations Build staff training programs to strengthen technology support skills What You'll Need to Succeed We're looking for a collaborative and adaptable leader who is passionate about digital access and community impact. Bilingual Incentive Pay Available Employees who can demonstrate the ability to speak Spanish, ASL, or any other language spoken by over 10% of the City residents as documented by the most recent U.S. Census, will receive a monthly 3% premium pay. The incentive is only paid on hours in paid status. Proficiency will be determined by a City-administered test.
