Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate House Manager to lead and oversee the operations of an Intermediate Care Facility for individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD). This vital role combines leadership, care management, and administrative expertise to ensure a safe, respectful, and enriching environment for residents. The House Manager will coordinate daily activities, supervise staff, ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, and foster a supportive community that promotes independence and dignity for residents. Responsibilities Lead and supervise care staff, including training, scheduling, performance evaluations, and fostering a positive team environment. Develop, implement, and regularly review individualized care plans tailored to each resident's needs, including those requiring Alzheimer's care, dementia care, or memory support. Oversee medication administration processes to ensure accuracy and compliance with health regulations. Maintain comprehensive documentation related to resident care, incident reports, health records, and regulatory compliance using Microsoft Office tools. Ensure adherence to all long-term care regulations, health policies, and disability services standards while maintaining high-quality resident care. Manage facility operations including budgeting, financial management, inventory control, and resource allocation to optimize efficiency. Coordinate with healthcare professionals and community services to support residents' health and well-being. Monitor the safety of the environment through regular inspections of the facility's physical space and security protocols. Foster a respectful environment that upholds residents' rights while promoting independence and community engagement. Stay current on evolving regulations related to nursing home administration, assisted living standards, and long-term care policies. Experience Proven management experience within residential or long-term care facilities such as nursing homes or assisted living communities. Extensive background in nursing home administration or healthcare facility management with familiarity in healthcare financial management. Strong supervisory experience leading multidisciplinary teams in a healthcare or disability services setting. Demonstrated knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory support strategies, and resident's rights advocacy. Hands-on experience with medication administration protocols and resident safety procedures. Familiarity with state and federal long-term care regulations as well as home & community care standards. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for documentation and reporting purposes. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or those requiring specialized behavioral support is highly desirable.
