Job Description

Program Manager- Children's Residential Homes Children's Services PA Melmark PA , Berwyn , PA Full Time . Varied Shifts Melmark Overview Melmark is a nonprofit organization providing clinically-sophisticated evidence-based special education, residential, vocational, and therapeutic services for children and adults diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders, developmental and intellectual disabilities, acquired brain injuries, medical complexities, and other neurological and genetic disorders. Program Manager Overview The Program Manager (PM) is an administrative and clinical supervisor for the residential program and is responsible to oversee the clinical and administrative operations of assigned home. They are responsible for ensuring all aspects of the Melmark Model (e.g., training, block schedules, bi-weekly reviews, employee supervision) are trained and implemented with fidelity. They will serve as a supervisor of all employees assigned to that location. The PM is responsible, in conjunction with BCBAs, for the development, training, implementation, and evaluation of interventions and teaching strategies for individuals in the residential setting. In addition, the Program Manager will ensure that all requirements are met for acquiring and maintaining all applicable licenses, certifications and accreditations. Populations served are intensely physically challenging. The Program Manager position requires that staff be aware that individuals who are served may exhibit aggressive and/or self-injurious behavior. This requires the Program Manager to be constantly alert and ready to respond to the individual's needs according to effective behavior analytic interventions.
Schedule and Salary Information Schedule:
Sunday 8am-4pm; Monday- Thursday 12pm-8pm Weekly on-call shifts that would be 2pm-10pm (typically one, on a regularly scheduled day)
Starting Salary:
$55,120.00 (+) based on years of direct relevant experience Fully on site Requirements Bachelor's degree with one (1) years' experience with specialized populations is required. Experience in Applied Behavior Analysis is desirable. A valid US driver's license and a minimum age of twenty-one (21) years old Working knowledge of Windows Operating Systems and Microsoft Office. Possess strong teaching skills with emphasis on individuals who are emotionally, behaviorally, physically and/or developmentally challenged. Ability to implement function based interventions for the reduction of challenging behaviors. Experience in the principles and application of Applied Behavior Analysis. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills are required Program Manager Responsibilities Oversees performance of employees and follows proper procedures and documentation of individual's health and safety needs including: hygiene, maintaining supervision needs and staffing ratios both on and off campus, completing proper documentation and notification (including sleep data and health indicators), implements all individualized plans as written, and responds appropriately during crisis situations. Maintains knowledge of the applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to PA Code 55, Chapter 3800 Regulations and funder regulations. Ensures compliance with all regulatory standards. Will represent the department in meetings with agencies (local and state) for annual inspections and/or licensing reviews. Attends all expected meetings, completes all required trainings, and maintains necessary certifications. Assists with conducting team meetings with all employees for all assigned homes and submits documentation of meetings including staff sign off and meeting agenda by due date.; Obtains trainer certifications as assigned (e.g. crisis prevention and management, Med Practicum Observer, etc.) Ensures care, active engagement and treatment both on and off campus for all individuals at all times in line with The Melmark Model. Actively communicates with administrators to address any challenges that arise during the overnight hours, and proposes solutions for overcoming those challenges and enhancing resident care. Communicates with the department leadership and/or Administrator on Call (AOC) when a situation requires immediate attention and consultation (e.g. parent concerns, staff concerns, health and safety concerns, etc.). Oversees and adheres to house specific chores and block schedules, including but not limited to, daily laundry, meal preparation, deep cleaning of items and areas and maintains all program environments, including vans, according to safety standards and informs the supervisor of any hazards which may exist. Conducts rounds in all assigned homes and completes all required documentation. Ensure the Melmark Model of training is implemented with fidelity. Oversees on-the-job training of all new hires is completed with fidelity. Oversees the ongoing training for all employees. Ensure all training documentation regarding staff training and performance measures is completed and placed within employee files. Oversees all case management duties (e.g. individual's clinical and program materials including data sheets and communion logs, data collection and entry, monitoring of individual's clothing, personal items, bedroom tidiness and cleanliness, bedding, ADL supplies, etc.) Assigned to manager on-call responsibilities on a rotating basis, and provides supervisory coverage for all residential shifts as assigned including holidays, in times of inclement weather, etc. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to completing rounds in all assigned homes, completing scheduling responsibilities, managing family home visits and outings, and timely submission of electronic shift report Benefits Work with a nationally known leader in quality-driven initiatives Generous Paid Time Off Benefits including Vacation, Holiday and Sick!
