Job Description
Job Summary:
Spectrum Community Services provides services to residents with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD)in a residential setting. The Residential Services Supervisor oversees daily operations, ensuring a safe, structured, and supportive environment for the youth in our care. The Residential Services Supervisor manages staff, coordinates care plans, enforces policies, and serves as a role model while promoting youth's independence and well-being. This role requires strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and the ability to handle behavioral challenges with professionalism and compassion.

Friday Key Responsibilities:
Facilitate relationships with youth, visitors, families, team members, staff and neighbors by responding to inquiries with tact and sensitivity Participates in the development and implementation of Individual Service Plan (ISP) Assist the youth with their daily living skills, personal care, education, meal preparation, shopping, social and recreational activities, medical appointments, community life and associated transportation services as necessary Responsible for the overall, day-to-day operation of the program, assuring that all youth, staff, and facility/vehicle issues are resolved in a timely and effective manner Complete files and maintain all required documentation daily Conduct fire drills at least monthly and complete necessary documentation Follow all the organization's policies and procedures Respond in accordance with agency policies and procedures for handling emergency situations Attend all daily meetings and professional development sessions Maintain required certifications in compliance with the State 3800 Regulations Maintain residence, vehicle, and equipment in a safe, functional, and secure manner conductive to the youth's physical well-being Assure the overall safety of the youth by maintaining a hazard-free environment and avoiding potentially dangerous situations Provide leadership, supervision and direction to youth. Conduct weekly supervision with staff Ensure policy and procedure compliance with all employees in your charge
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, or a related field required Minimum 2-3 years of experience working with individuals in a residential, behavioral health to social services setting. Strong organizational and time-management abilities to oversee multiple responsibilities effectively. Ability to supervise, mentor, and support staff while ensuring adherence to policies and procedures. Available to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts as needed.
