Job Description

Director of Resident Life & Community Engagement The Fountains & Garden at Latrobe - Latrobe, PA Full Time W2 Position Create meaningful experiences. Build lasting connections. Share the stories that make our community special. The Fountains at Latrobe is seeking an energetic, organized, creative, and people-focused professional to lead resident life while also strengthening facility communications and community engagement.
ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
The Director of Resident Life & Community Engagement is a unique leadership role that brings together resident programming, activities, facility communications, social media, community connections, and authentic storytelling. This is more than an activities position. The Director helps create the experiences that enrich daily life at The Fountains and then helps communicate those moments to residents, families, staff, community partners, and prospective families.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Develop, coordinate, and oversee resident activities, entertainment, celebrations, outings, and meaningful engagement opportunities. Encourage individualized participation by learning residents' interests, preferences, traditions, and favorite activities. Coordinate birthdays, resident welcomes, special moments, family participation, and other quality-of-life initiatives. Manage facility-level social media, including regular posting, event coverage, and approved resident and staff storytelling. Publish The Fountains Current each Tuesday and coordinate monthly The Fountains Reflection content and story submissions. Monitor appropriate social-media engagement, support follower growth, and maintain required facility tracking. Build stronger connections among residents, families, employees, visitors, entertainers, volunteers, community partners, and prospective families. Coordinate with Fountains Marketing on brand standards, campaigns, cross-platform use, and facility content needs.
WHO WILL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE
This opportunity is well suited for someone who enjoys people as much as planning, understands the importance of meaningful resident experiences, and can bring creativity and organization to both programming and communication. Enjoys building genuine relationships with residents, families, staff, and community partners. Can move comfortably between resident engagement, event coordination, communications, writing, and administrative follow-up. Is organized, dependable, creative, and able to plan ahead while responding to the day-to-day life of the community. Understands that resident life is not simply a calendar of activities - it is about connection, belonging, relationships, experiences, and creating moments that matter.
JOIN THE FOUNTAINS AT LATROBE
If you are passionate about creating meaningful experiences, building relationships, strengthening community connections, and helping tell the stories that make a resident community special, we would love to hear from you.
