Responsibilities:

Supervise and support residential staff in their roles, including scheduling, training, and performance management. Implement and enforce program policies and procedures to ensure the safety and security of all residents and staff. Conduct regular rounds and inspections of the facility to monitor cleanliness, maintenance, and adherence to regulations. Coordinate and participate in the intake and discharge process for residents, including assessments, goal setting, and transition planning. Develop and maintain positive relationships with residents, families, community partners, and other stakeholders. Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation as needed, following established protocols and procedures. Collaborate with case managers, therapists, and other service providers to coordinate services and support for residents. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including incident reports, progress notes, and documentation of services provided. Participate in meetings, trainings, and committees as required by agency policies and regulations. Stay informed about best practices, trends, and developments in the field of youth residential care.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or a related field preferred with one year of experience working with children. Associates degree or 60 credit hours from and three years working with children required. Knowledge of child development, trauma-informed care, and evidence-based practices in youth services. Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and empower staff. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. PA Criminal, Child Abuse and FBI clearances Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
