Job Description
Overview This position is responsible for the overall balanced performance of multiple assigned branches (minimum of 3 locations) with emphasis on lending, deposit acquisition and non-interest income generation for consumer and small business segments. Expected to proactively initiate, develop, and manage long-term, profitable relationships with consumer and small business clients. Deliver quality service in person or by phone such that client needs are met on a consistent, positive basis. Provide general supervision with focus on coaching sales efforts and managing operational risk management of the market or assigned offices. Responsibilities Responsible for instilling the Company Mission, Vision, and Values within the assigned offices. Responsible for coordinating efforts to ensure Company client service expectations are delivered. Responsible for sales management and revenue generation within the assigned offices. Provide quality leadership, encouragement, and guidance to all assigned personnel, while ensuring that clients receive superior client service quality. Make proactive daily contact with clients and prospects to identify additional client financial needs, initiate client relationships, and attract and retain new client households. Initiate, direct, and participate in outside retail and small business client development and in-house marketing programs. Responsible for consumer and small business loan performance within the assigned offices pertaining to growth, profitability, and quality. Responsible for the balanced growth, servicing, and profitability of the Company's deposit products. Responsible for providing leadership and coaching to all members of the branch sales teams to ensure maximum performance and attainment of personal goals and improvement plans. Work closely with the Branch Manager and/or Branch Operations Officer in assigned branches for optimal staffing of the branch teams to include hiring, goal setting, performance reviews and ratings, salary reviews, promotional transfers, terminations, training, etc. Responsible for ensuring internal controls are maintained with a proper emphasis on operational risks. Proactively market non-credit services (e.g. Insurance, Wealth Management). Proactively lead, manage and actively participate in consultations with the Teller Supervisor/Assistant Branch Manager/Branch Operations Officer, in personnel related duties to team members. Responsible for driving scorecard performance in home office. All other duties as assigned. Qualifications A High School Diploma or GED. Higher education preferred. Minimum of seven (7) years' experience in retail operations and sales management. Minimum of three (3) years' experience in directly related role (such as branch management). Two (2) years of leadership experience Preferred experience in specialized banking functions (e.g. sales, audit, training, etc.). Previous management experience required. Experience with change management. Strong interpersonal relations and communication skills (verbal & written). Strong interpersonal, sales and relationship management skills. Strong written, verbal and communication skills. Ability to gather and analyze facts, draw conclusions, define problems, and suggest solutions. Ability to work independently and in team environment Demonstrate ability to provide leadership and to handle multiple priorities under time constraints. Ability to appropriately plan and organize; administer and prioritize; monitor and evaluate the workflow of projects and activities. Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products. Ability to travel, occasionally overnight. Position will require active Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS) registration, or the ability to secure registration upon hire, and is contingent upon successful completion of a credit report review as part of the process.
