Assistant Property Manager - AppFolio Experience Required Job Summary Chitwood Pearson Management & Brokerage is seeking a proactive and highly organized Assistant Property Manager to help coordinate the daily operations of our growing residential property management company. This role connects leasing, maintenance, owner relations, tenant communication, vendors, property managers, and leadership. The right candidate will track responsibilities, communicate updates, identify stalled items, and follow through until issues are resolved. Previous hands-on AppFolio Property Manager experience is required. Responsibilities Use AppFolio to manage tasks, communications, work orders, inspections, renewals, leasing activity, and property information Track owner and property onboarding, move-ins, move-outs, vacancies, turnovers, and important deadlines Monitor open maintenance requests and vendor work Keep AppFolio records, notes, and property information accurate and current Identify tasks that are stalled, unclear, or at risk of being missed Follow up with team members until important items are completed Help ensure owner, tenant, vendor, and internal communications receive timely responses Direct questions to the appropriate team member and track them through resolution Keep leadership and the team informed of important updates, priorities, and concerns Help improve company processes and team follow-through Required Qualifications Hands-on AppFolio Property Manager experience Residential property management experience Strong organization and attention to detail Excellent written and verbal communication Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines Strong follow-through and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and communicate proactively Comfortable working with owners, tenants, vendors, and coworkers Proficiency with email, spreadsheets, and cloud-based software Preferred Experience Single-family residential property management Leasing, maintenance coordination, inspections, renewals, and property turnovers Owner and tenant communication Coordinating work across multiple departments Experience in a growing property management company Ideal Candidate You are proactive, dependable, organized, self-directed, and comfortable following up until a task is complete. You communicate clearly, enjoy helping a team stay organized, and notice potential problems before they grow.
