If you have an outgoing personality, strong communication skills, and a desire to be part of a collaborative and creative team, this job may be for you. An appreciation for professionally-produced theater is a bonus! The Community Outreach Manager will be responsible for helping Cape May Stage connect with patrons, partners, and donors in meaningful ways, along with local residents and businesses through ongoing and proactive outreach efforts. Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Office, this position also works closely with the Producing Artistic Director, Marketing Director, and Box Office Staff. This seasonal position (April

Specific responsibilities
Include:
Community Outreach:
Identify and implement new ways to position and promote CMS as an important part of the local community, including oversight of the following initiatives: Local business partnerships, Local festival participation, special events for non-profits, and Chamber of Commerce membership meetings Work with the Marketing Director and Box Office staff to identify and implement ways to better engage audience members before and after performances, including lobby decorations, show-specific displays, and opening night festivities. Help to engage local businesses as patrons and ambassadors of CMS. Oversee poster and rack card distribution to all community partners. Monitor 20+ local Facebook groups, posting information about things to do at CMS. Monitor 20+ local organization websites with "things to do" pages and emails, and provide ongoing CMS updates. Manage CMS events on 20+ online community calendars, identify new online event listing opportunities and new email newsletter partnerships. Create and implement a plan to connect new home owners in the area to CMS.
Media Outreach:
Create new photo and video content to be used on various social media channels. Assist with social media accounts, posting content to promote all events and CMS in general. Create video content to be used for virtual readings delivered via Zoom and other platforms. Manage the CMS digital media archive for historic and new media files. Manage CMS Youtube channel and TikTok account. Take photos and shoot/edit videos for CMS special events, as needed.
Group Outreach:
Provide discounted tickets, marketing materials, and ongoing email updates to all groups Manage outreach to local organizations, including libraries, civic organizations, clubs, and membership-driven groups. Manage outreach to local accommodations (hotels, motels, bed and breakfasts). Create and implement a new program to connect with short-term rentals including those through realtors, AirBnb, and VRBO.
    Miscellaneous:
    Assist with special events and projects, as needed Assist with CMS website updates, as needed Serve as an ambassador for CMS at community events and functions, as needed Assist with maintaining the cleanliness of the inside and outside of the theater Generate specialized reports, records, and statistical data for other departments upon request
    Key Qualifications:
    Appreciation for professionally produced theater and the arts in general Familiarity with the Cape May County community Ability to work as a both a member of a team and independently Commitment to customer service policies and standards Willingness to always present a positive image of the organization Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong technical skills in social media, emails, MS Office suite, and digital content management Strong content creation skills in photography and video production are preferred Strong project management and organizational skills Diplomacy, tact, sense of humor, flexibility, initiative and enthusiasm Capacity to effectively manage multiple tasks under pressure in a fast-paced environment Flexibility of schedule during the season to accommodate evenings and weekends, as necessary
