Job Description

The Opportunity Description Are you an organized, customer-focused property management professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment? We are looking for an Assistant Property Manager to join our team at a 200-unit elderly and disabled affordable housing community in Providence, RI. This community includes layered Section 8 and Tax Credit programs, so we are looking for someone who understands the importance of accuracy, compliance, resident service, and staying on top of multiple priorities.
What You'll Do:
Assist with the daily operations of a busy 200-unit elderly and disabled residential community, working closely with the Property Manager and site team. Support Section 8 and Tax Credit compliance, including recertifications, resident files, documentation, notices, and other required paperwork. Provide excellent customer service to residents, families, vendors, and visitors while handling questions and concerns with patience and professionalism. Utilize RealPage OneSite for resident records, reporting, leasing, and property management functions. Help manage office traffic, phones, resident requests, work orders, collections, and other day-to-day administrative responsibilities. Stay organized and detail-oriented while juggling deadlines and changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
What We're Looking For:
Previous multifamily or affordable housing experience is strongly preferred, particularly experience with Section 8 and/or Tax Credit communities. Experience with RealPage OneSite is a plus. The ideal candidate is dependable, organized, patient, and comfortable working with an elderly and disabled resident population. Bilingual Spanish skills are a strong plus.
