Job Description

Job Summary:
The Assistant Property Manager is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of the property under the direction of the Property Manager and is able to assume responsibility for the property in the Property Managers absence.
Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:
Conduct all business in accordance with company policies and procedures, Fair Housing, Americans with Disabilities Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, and all other laws pertaining to apartmentsAssist the Property Manager in subsequent orientation, training, and scheduling of all office personnelThorough knowledge of leasing techniques and sales methods as designated by Southwood Realty. Knowledge of property rental informationAbility to secure a high percentage of the properties overall closed leasesThorough knowledge of management company policies and procedures and property community policiesResponsible for the efficient and timely reporting, maintenance and submission of administrative forms, files, and reportsResponsible for insuring efficient and courteous response to all resident requestsAssisting the Property Manager in designing and implementing a resident retention programResponsible for insuring contact with business and locator services, and insuring availability of promotional materialsAssist the Property Manager to ensure the physical well-being and curb appeal of the apartment community.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma1 to 3 months related experience and or training requiredAble to type at least 40 WPMMust be organizedNational Apartment Leasing Professional (NALP) desired
