A Residential Community Manager manages operations for an apartment community. Responsible for the maintenance and profitability of the apartment community. May provide information about the community to prospective residents, troubleshoot issues with the buildings and community residents. May also review and approve new lease applications, or be responsible for negotiating and closing sales.
Part time, approximately 3 to 4 hours per day, weekdays. Start and end times are flexible and set with the family.
Compensation:
$15 per hour to start, with increases based on performance and length of service. Position Overview Our family of seven is seeking a dependable, organized Household Manager and Family Assistant. We have five young children, including a seven month old, and we are looking for one person to help keep the household running well each day. This is a hybrid role. Part of the time is spent caring for our infant so that a parent can work or attend to the older children. The rest is spent on the practical work that keeps a busy home in order: laundry, dishes, tidying, organizing, and resetting rooms. We are not looking for someone to follow a rigid checklist. We are looking for someone who notices what needs doing and does it well without being asked twice. Core Responsibilities Infant care Take shifts with our seven month old, including holding, feeding, diaper changes, and play Follow the routines and feeding schedule the parents set Household upkeep Wash, dry, fold, and put away laundry Load, run, and unload the dishwasher; hand wash as needed; keep the kitchen clean through the day Vacuum floors and rugs; wipe down surfaces and high traffic areas Put away groceries and keep the pantry and refrigerator orderly Clean and maintain the cat litter box and pet areas Reset common rooms at the end of each shift Organization Organize children's bedrooms, closets, and drawers Maintain play areas and put away toys Keep entryway shoes, coats, and bags in order Clean and tidy the interiors of family vehicles Suggest and set up simple systems that make the home easier to manage Light meal preparation Prepare snacks and simple meals for the children Prep ingredients for family meals Clean up the kitchen afterward This list describes the shape of the work rather than its limits. The role covers general help around the house, and priorities shift from day to day. What This Role Does Not Include Driving. No transporting children and no errands outside the home. Deep cleaning or heavy household projects. We contract those separately. Tutoring or formal instruction. Qualifications Prior experience caring for infants and young children in a home, family, or professional setting Comfortable in a full, active household with several children present Self directed. Able to see what needs doing and act on it. Reliable and punctual. Consistency matters more to us than speed. Discreet and respectful of family privacy Able to lift and carry a small child and move comfortably through a busy home Verifiable references and consent to a background check Infant and child CPR and first aid certification is preferred. Working Arrangement The position is based in our home in Franklin. Hours are set by agreement and can be arranged as a single block each day or split around the family's schedule. Days and times can be adjusted for the right person. We expect this to be a long term working relationship and we treat it that way.
