Manages property and services on behalf of a community association, for properties such as condominiums or cooperatives. Collects fees or dues, responds to requests or complaints, supervises maintenance, oversees work done by contractors, and provides accounting of income and expenses. May also assist owners or a board of directors with regulatory compliance or compliance with community association rules. Manages the operation of commercial or residential properties. Oversees the collection of rents and payment of bills, taxes and insurance for properties, and provides property owners with reports on finances and the status of properties. Directs leasing operations, or equipment and machinery rentals, for a company or business. Determines charges and prepares rental or lease agreements; supervises inventory, equipment maintenance and recordkeeping for leasing operations.

We are looking for an intelligent, hard-working person that has great people skills and can solve problems as they arise. We prefer someone with apartment experience or a sales background, but we are also open to hiring a talented inexperienced person that would like to grow with our company.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated individual to join our team as an Assistant Manager for one of our premier apartment complexes. The Assistant Manager will work closely with the Property Manager to ensure the smooth operation of the property and deliver outstanding service to our residents.
Responsibilities:
  • Assist with leasing activities including showing apartments, processing applications, and conducting lease signings.
  • Implement marketing strategies to attract prospective residents and maintain high occupancy rates.
  • Respond promptly to inquiries from potential residents and provide detailed information about the property and available units.
  • Foster positive relationships with current residents by addressing inquiries, concerns, and maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Conduct regular resident communications including newsletters, community events, and satisfaction surveys.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to enhance resident experience and satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with maintenance staff to ensure timely resolution of maintenance issues and adherence to property standards.
  • Conduct regular property inspections to identify maintenance needs, safety hazards, and cleanliness standards.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate records of resident leases, payments, and maintenance requests.
Qualifications:
  • 2 years of experience in property management, preferably in residential apartment complexes, preferred.
  • Strong leasing and marketing skills with the ability to effectively communicate property features and benefits.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills with a passion for delivering exceptional resident experiences.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize tasks and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in AppFolio.
  • Knowledge of fair housing regulations and lease agreements.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred, but not required.
