An Assistant Property Manager assists and provides support to the manager of a property or complex. May oversee the maintenance of the buildings. May also provide information about the community to prospective residents, and troubleshoot issues with the buildings and community residents.
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Assistant Community Manager to support the daily operations of a residential apartment community. This role works closely with the Community Manager to ensure excellent customer service, strong occupancy rates, and smooth property operations. The ideal candidate is organized, personable, and capable of balancing administrative tasks with resident relations.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in managing day-to-day property operations, including leasing, resident services, and maintenance coordination Provide excellent customer service to current and prospective residents Conduct property tours and support leasing efforts to meet occupancy goals Process applications, lease agreements, renewals, and move-in/move-out procedures Handle resident inquiries, concerns, and conflict resolution in a professional manner Assist with rent collection, posting payments, and delinquency follow-up Maintain accurate records and reports, including occupancy, leasing activity, and financial data Support marketing and outreach efforts, including social media and community events Ensure compliance with company policies, Fair Housing regulations, and local laws Step in for the Community Manager as needed
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required. 1-3 years of experience in property management, leasing, or customer service Strong communication and interpersonal skills Organizational and multitasking abilities with attention to detail Basic knowledge of property management software (Resman is a plus.) Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) Ability to work weekends if needed or flexible hours as needed Bilingual is a plus.
