Position Summary The Courtesy Officer must be a law enforcement officer who provides superior customer service, possesses detailed knowledge of Company policy and procedures and performs essential functions as they relate to the accessibility of the community. This position is not a regular full-time position and is not eligible to participate in company benefits. Responsibilities Patrolling each section of the community daily and checking lighting conditions on a regular basis Make a presence in the community Protecting the community from theft, vandalism, disturbances, accidents, etc Patrol public areas to detect fires, unsafe conditions, noise violations, overcrowding or large gatherings, etc Detect signs of intrusion and ensure the patrol of doors and gates around the community Provide assistance to Residents in the event of a lockout according to policies and procedures Enforce amenity hours according to posted closing times and properly close the Fitness Center and Pool Area Must always communicate openly and frequently with the Community Manager and carry a communication device while on duty Complete reports to document incidents, suspicious activities, vehicle violations, and minor maintenance issues on a nightly basis, and provide to the Community Manager at the end of each shift Provide the Community Manager with copies of Police Reports that pertain to the community Based on availability, assisting with Community Manager with delivering notices and handling Resident problems when requested Education and Experience High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred Must be a law enforcement officer Ability to use email to share photos and notes to support reported incidents and violations
