Job Summary To Apply for this Job Click Here Sales Manager - SMERF & Weekend Business The Woodlands, TX A prominent hotel group in The Woodlands is seeking a Sales Manager focused on driving SMERF and weekend group business. This role is responsible for filling weekend need periods through proactive prospecting, community engagement, and fast‑cycle selling across two select‑service hotels with a combined 263 rooms and 4,200 sq ft of meeting space.
Compensation:
Base Salary:
$65,000-$70,000
Bonus:
Quarterly bonus up to 30% + an additional 10% super bonus for strong market share performance
What You'll Do:
Generate SMERF and leisure group business to increase weekend occupancy Conduct in‑market prospecting with schools, churches, sports associations, and local organizations Respond quickly to inquiries, prepare quotes, and close short‑term group opportunities Build strong relationships within the local community Participate in sales blitzes, promotions, and weekend‑focused initiatives Support the Director of Sales with group strategy and market development
What We're Looking For:
2-5 years of hotel sales experience (SMERF or group preferred) Strong relationship‑building and prospecting skills Comfortable with high activity and fast turnaround times Organized, responsive, and able to manage multiple leads Confident engaging with community organizations and social planners Valid driver's license required Not a fit for first‑time hotel sellers
