Assistant Manager — Operations, Growth & Community GarageCycles.cc | Salt Lake City, Utah Full-Time | In-Person $17-$22/hour + performance upside Higher compensation may be considered for an exceptional candidate with directly relevant experience. GarageCycles.cc is looking for a capable, ambitious Assistant Manager who wants to do considerably more than traditional retail management. We're building a modern cycling company combining retail, ecommerce, community, digital marketing, technology, and a growing social mission through our Bikes for Schools initiative. This role will help operate our Salt Lake City shop while working directly alongside leadership on the projects, systems, partnerships, marketing, and ideas that help grow GarageCycles.cc. We are especially interested in well-rounded early-career candidates who have developed useful skills across several areas and want the opportunity to keep expanding them. You do not need to already know everything. You should be intelligent, resourceful, curious, dependable, and capable of learning quickly. The Role At its core, you'll help make sure GarageCycles.cc operates exceptionally well. That means taking ownership of the physical shop while also contributing to ecommerce, digital operations, customer experience, community partnerships, and growth initiatives. This is a role for someone who is comfortable moving between very different types of work. One hour you might be helping improve a product page or communicating with a nonprofit partner. The next you might be receiving bikes, helping a customer choose equipment, merchandising the showroom, preparing an order, coordinating an event, or solving an operational problem. Shop Operations You'll help manage the day-to-day operation and presentation of GarageCycles.cc.
Responsibilities include:
Opening, closing, and supporting daily shop operations Maintaining an exceptionally clean, organized, and attractive retail environment Merchandising bikes, accessories, apparel, and equipment Receiving and organizing inventory Helping maintain accurate inventory across retail and ecommerce Supporting shipping, fulfillment, and customer pickups Organizing warehouse, retail, office, and operational areas Identifying maintenance needs and helping coordinate practical repairs and improvements Maintaining supplies, fixtures, tools, displays, signage, and equipment Creating better systems as the business grows Seeing what needs to be done and taking ownership of it Product & Customer Experience You'll develop meaningful knowledge of the products we sell and help customers make better purchasing decisions. You'll help with: Bicycle and accessory product knowledge Components, compatibility, sizing, features, and use cases Customer questions in-store, online, by phone, and through messaging Creating quotes and recommendations Supporting sales when appropriate Customer pickups and product education Follow-up and relationship building Creating an educational, welcoming retail experience Cycling experience is a strong advantage, but curiosity and the ability to learn quickly matter just as much. Bikes for Schools & Nonprofit Partnerships GarageCycles.cc is building Bikes for Schools , an initiative designed to turn bicycle sales and community advocacy into meaningful support for schools and future cycling opportunities for young people. The Assistant Manager will help us develop these relationships.

Compensation & Growth Starting compensation: $17-$22/hour , depending on experience and capabilities.
