We are seeking an Assistant Property Manager for our Colonial Estates community in Glen Allen, Virginia. The work of The Caton Companies is work that matters to our communities and to society. The Assistant Property Manager has a wide variety of duties related to the park, its residents, and potential residents. These responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Regularly meet with residents to receive their rent payment and often go to residents' homes to collect (or follow up on) late payments. Show available units to those interested in moving to the community; the units are sometimes model homes, and are sometimes actual homes that are currently available. The Assistant Property Manager's duty is to protect, maintain and enhance the value of the community in order to maximize the owner's financial return and to benefit the residents and the community. This is accomplished by direction and coordination of the center's operational activities, leasing and marketing. This incumbent represents the property owner to both the tenants and the public. Competencies Ability to multi-task Knowledge of manufactured home construction techniques, manufactured home maintenance, marketing and advertising Strong sales and excellent customer service skills Must possess high energy sales personality with ability to interact in a positive manner with prospects and customers Communicates well both verbally and in writing Strong administrative skills and problem solving ability Mid-level skills in Microsoft Office products (word, excel, outlook) Supervisory Responsibility To hire, train, schedule and supervise all property associates. Required Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent and professional knowledge of business discipline are required. Must possess or have the ability to obtain a Registered Housing Specialist license through NC Department of Insurance Knowledge of Manufactured Housing Sales and Marketing Achieve Fair Housing certification prior to interaction with prospects or residents. Preferred Education and Experience College degree preferred but not required Salary depends on skills and experience.
