A Property Manager manages operations for an apartment building or complex. Recruits and screens tenants for apartments, collects rents and security deposits, responds to requests or complaints from tenants, supervises maintenance and repairs; oversees payment of bills, insurance, taxes and recordkeeping. Manages property and services on behalf of a community association, for properties such as condominiums or cooperatives. Collects fees or dues, responds to requests or complaints, supervises maintenance, oversees work done by contractors, and provides accounting of income and expenses. May also assist owners or a board of directors with regulatory compliance or compliance with community association rules. Manages the operation of commercial or residential properties. Oversees the collection of rents and payment of bills, taxes and insurance for properties, and provides property owners with reports on finances and the status of properties. Directs leasing operations, or equipment and machinery rentals, for a company or business. Determines charges and prepares rental or lease agreements; supervises inventory, equipment maintenance and recordkeeping for leasing operations.

Position Overview Senior Property Manager -
Retail Portfolio Office Location:
Tysons Corner, VA Our client, a growing third-party commercial real estate management firm, is seeking an experienced Senior Property Manager to oversee a retail portfolio throughout Northern Virginia and Central Maryland. This is a field-based leadership role, not a desk-only position. The successful candidate will spend traveling between properties, conducting site inspections, meeting with tenants and vendors, and ensuring operational excellence across the portfolio. Key Responsibilities Oversee day-to-day operations of a multi-property retail portfolio. Conduct regular onsite property inspections and ensure assets are maintained to the highest standards. Manage operating budgets, financial reporting, and expense control. Build strong relationships with tenants, vendors, and property owners. Oversee vendor contracts, maintenance, and capital improvement projects. Lead and mentor onsite support staff while delivering exceptional client service. Qualifications 5+ years of commercial property management experience, preferably with retail portfolios. Third-party property management experience strongly preferred. Strong financial, operational, and organizational skills. Experience managing multiple properties and leading support staff. Valid driver's license and ability to travel regularly throughout the DMV market.
