About Us Digitalis Education Solutions, Inc. designs and manufactures digital planetarium systems used by schools, museums, universities, and science centers around the world. Our products combine specialized hardware, real-time visualization software, projection systems, manufacturing, support, training, and installation. We are a small company. That means the GM needs to be comfortable understanding problems firsthand, asking good questions, working across functions, and taking ownership through resolution.

Down:
We stay organized by documenting information for others and our future selves. What You'll Own Day-to-day company performance. Hiring, management, development, and performance of employees and managers. Sales and marketing performance. Budgeting, forecasting, financial visibility, and cost control. Software development priorities, delivery, and coordination with the rest of the business. Production, quality, inventory, and purchasing. Customer support and recurring service issues. Major customer projects, installations, vendors, and subcontractors. Company processes, documentation, and cross-training. Useful performance metrics for the company and each function and role. Turning company strategy into clear priorities, owners, deadlines, and completed work. Identifying problems early, determining root causes, and making sure corrective actions actually happen. What We're Looking For Significant experience leading a small or mid-sized technical business or business unit. Experience managing multiple functions rather than one department. Strong logic, judgment, and problem-solving skills. Strong time management and prioritization. Demonstrated ability to turn plans into completed work. Experience managing people, including difficult performance situations. Comfort with financial statements, budgets, metrics, and business planning. Enough technical aptitude to understand complex products, ask useful questions, and recognize when an explanation does not fit the facts. Strong written and verbal communication. Excellent follow-through. Comfortable working in a small company where important problems do not always fit neatly into job descriptions and people wear many hats. Industry-specific experience is useful, but judgment, execution, and the ability to learn a complicated business matter more. Compensation $145,000-$165,000 per year, depending on experience, plus annual performance bonus. Application Questions Please address these in your cover letter: Describe an operational or business problem you identified before senior leadership knew it existed. What did you do? Describe a situation where an employee or manager was not performing adequately. How did you handle it?
