  • Full-time Join our dynamic team as an Assistant Property Manager specializing in multifamily residential communities!
In this energetic role, you will support the property manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring exceptional resident experiences, and maintaining the property's financial health. Your proactive approach and customer service skills will help foster a vibrant community environment while ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, including LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit), Fair Housing laws, and Section 8 programs. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to develop your expertise in property management, leasing, and facilities oversight within a fast-paced, rewarding setting. Assist in managing leasing activities, including property tours and tenant screening. Support rent collection processes, data entry into property management systems like RentManager, and ensure timely processing of payments. Coordinate property maintenance requests and work with vendors to ensure timely repairs and upkeep. Prepare and review legal documents, contracts, and lease agreements while maintaining compliance with landlord-tenant law and Fair Housing regulations. Handle resident inquiries with professionalism via phone and in person, providing excellent customer service and conflict management to resolve issues effectively. Maintain accurate filing systems for legal documents, lease records, and property files; ensure all data entry is precise and up-to-date. Support compliance efforts related to LIHTC, Section 8 housing programs, and other regulatory requirements while assisting with audits or inspections as needed. Proven experience in office administration or property management within multifamily housing environments. Strong knowledge of Section 8 regulations, Fair Housing laws, and Washington State landlord-tenant law. Familiarity with property management software such as Yardi or RentManager; experience with CMMS or similar facilities management tools is a plus. Excellent customer service skills paired with effective negotiation and conflict resolution abilities. Office experience including data entry, filing, contract review, and various administrative tasks. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills with professional phone etiquette; ability to upsell amenities or services when appropriate.
