A well-established and growing residential home services company in the Seattle, WA market is looking for an experienced Plumbing Service Manager to lead its service department and help drive continued growth. This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for an experienced plumbing professional who knows how to develop people, improve performance, create accountability, and deliver an exceptional customer experience.
Total earning potential:
$110,000 - $170,000+ annually, based on experience and performance. If you're currently managing a plumbing team, leading a service department, or you're a strong field leader ready to take the next step, we'd like to talk with you. What You'll Do Lead the day-to-day operations of the residential plumbing service department. Lead, coach, and develop plumbers, apprentices, and other plumbing team members. Recruit, hire, onboard, train, and retain top plumbing talent. Build and maintain a strong, high-performing team focused on customer service and results. Drive department revenue, profitability, productivity, and overall performance. Champion a growth-oriented sales culture focused on doing what's right for the customer while maximizing opportunities. Monitor key performance indicators including revenue, close rate, average ticket, productivity, callbacks, and customer satisfaction. Conduct ride-alongs, field coaching, performance reviews, and regular team meetings. Hold team members accountable to company policies, procedures, safety standards, and performance expectations. Partner with dispatch, customer service, sales, installation, and operations to maximize scheduling efficiency and customer experience. Handle escalated customer concerns and provide leadership support when needed. Identify opportunities to improve processes, efficiency, technician performance, and customer retention. Ensure plumbing work is completed safely, professionally, and in compliance with company standards, local codes, and industry regulations. Maintain a safe, positive, and professional work environment. Partner with company leadership on growth initiatives and long-term operational goals. What We're Looking For 4+ years of plumbing leadership or management experience in residential service or a related skilled-trades environment. Strong residential plumbing experience. Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop high-performing field teams. Strong business and sales acumen with an understanding of service-based operations. Experience managing KPIs, revenue, productivity, and profitability. Experience recruiting, training, and retaining skilled plumbing professionals. Ability to hold yourself and your team accountable while creating a positive and motivating culture. Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Forward-thinking mindset with the ability to embrace growth, change, and continuous improvement. Strong customer-service mindset and commitment to doing the job right. Valid driver's license. Comfortable using computers, tablets, and common business software.
