In this vital role, you'll manage the financial records for multiple properties, ensure compliance with accounting standards, and provide insightful reports to support strategic decision-making. Your energetic approach and meticulous attention to detail will help us maintain transparent, reliable financial processes and build trust with property owners, tenants, and stakeholders. Responsibilities Maintain accurate general ledger accounting, including journal entries, account analysis, and balance sheet reconciliation. Process accounts payable and receivable transactions promptly while ensuring adherence to GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and industry standards. Reconcile bank statements and perform regular account reconciliations to verify financial accuracy. Utilize the AppFolio accounting software and financial systems to record transactions and generate financial reports. Prepare detailed financial reports, income statements, and balance sheets to support property operations. Assist Property Managers, Resident Managers and Accounting Manager with various requests. Assist residents with various account questions. Skills Proven experience in bookkeeping within property management or real estate environments. Strong proficiency in AppFolio Property Management Software. Familiarity with GAAP guidelines, double-entry bookkeeping, journal entries, bank reconciliation, and general ledger reconciliation. Ability to perform account reconciliation accurately and efficiently using spreadsheets and accounting systems. Excellent understanding of financial concepts including debits & credits, account analysis, budgeting, and financial report writing. Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks such as accounts payable/receivable and account analysis simultaneously. Attention to detail coupled with excellent 10-key typing skills for data entry accuracy. Strong communication skills. We are a small office that takes our work seriously while having fun.
Pay:
$50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
