Position Overview The Account Manager will consult with clients, identify project requirements, provide accurate quotes, and oversee multiple crews and properties. We are seeking a resourceful self-starter with a standard higher than that of our clients who can communicate information clearly, practice organic fine gardening methods, and develop relationships that meet or exceed client needs and Kaleidoscope's high standards.

Key Responsibilities Client Consultation & Customer Service:

Provide onsite customer service, maintain continuous communication with clients and crews throughout projects, and manage client expectations tactfully.

Estimating & Design:

Provide accurate client quotes, planting plans, and material sourcing and costing.

Crew Leadership & Operations:

Oversee multiple properties and maintenance crews, monitor crew efficiency, and hold team leaders accountable for results (including working alongside crews as needed).

Communication & Coordination:

Act as the primary contact by phone and email for clients and team members and manage communication between crew leaders and account managers.

Mentorship & Quality Control:

Teach plant identification, plant care, and irrigation techniques; provide detailed and constructive feedback to crew members.

Fine Gardening Practices:

Practice and uphold organic fine gardening methods across all accounts.

Administrative Tracking:

Maintain accurate, detailed records with a strong sense of urgency and goal orientation.

Knowledge, Experience & Skills Required Horticulture Expertise:

Minimum of 3 years of experience and/or training in ornamental horticulture, including proficiency in plant identification, plant care, ornamental pests and diseases, and garden/lawn maintenance techniques. Expected to be engaged in horticulture training.

Landscape Field Experience:

Minimum of 3 years of hands-on work experience in the fine gardening field.

Organic & Technical Knowledge:

Proficiency in organic fine gardening methods; irrigation knowledge, design experience, and industry certifications are a plus.

Communication & Computer Skills:

Good verbal and written communication skills; strong computer proficiency in MS Word and Excel. Personal Qualities Professional demeanor and a resourceful self-starter with a "can-do" attitude. Exceptional attention to detail and a standard higher than that of the client. Customer-focused with excellent time management, organizational skills, and follow-through.
