We are hiring a Lead Maintenance Technician for our Sheboygan-area multifamily portfolio. This is a hands-on role for someone who takes pride in well-run buildings, treats residents professionally, and can keep day-to-day maintenance moving without constant supervision. You will perform the work, coordinate vendors when a job is beyond in-house scope, and help keep both properties safe, functional, and presentable. What you will do Complete resident work orders promptly and professionally Diagnose and repair residential plumbing, electrical, appliances, carpentry, and general building issues Perform and schedule preventive maintenance on building systems and common areas Respond to after-hours emergencies as needed Prepare vacant units for new residents, including repairs, painting, and punch-list work Inspect units, buildings, and grounds; catch problems early and follow through Coordinate and oversee subcontractors; confirm work quality and cost Maintain parts inventory, work-order notes, and basic maintenance records Communicate clearly with residents, management, and ownership Support light grounds and facility upkeep as needed What we are looking for Strong residential or multifamily maintenance experience Solid working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, appliances, and general building repair Excellent people skills and a calm, professional manner with residents Strong attention to detail and follow-through Ability to troubleshoot independently and decide when to call a vendor Basic computer skills for email, work orders, and vendor coordination Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Ability to lift and move equipment, work on ladders, and perform physically active work Preferred HVAC experience, especially boilers EPA Section 608 certification Prior lead or senior technician experience in apartments or similar housing Schedule and role Full-time, primarily weekday hours with flexibility for emergencies, unit turns, and resident needs. This is a lead technician role: you own the day-to-day maintenance operation across both properties and work directly with management and vendors. Compensation and Benefits This position offers a highly competitive salary in the range of $60,000 to $70,000 annually, reflecting the significant value and impact of this role.
