Job Summary The City is seeking a collaborative and strategic housing professional who combines technical expertise with sound judgment, strong relationship-building skills, and a practical, solutions-oriented approach. Job Description The City of Chino (pop. 93,000) is located where Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, and San Bernardino Counties converge. Reporting to the Deputy Director of Development Services, the Housing Manager will provide dedicated leadership and strategic focus for affordable housing, neighborhood revitalization, housing preservation, and state and federal grant programs. The City seeks a collaborative, strategic, and politically astute housing professional with experience administering affordable housing and community development programs. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of California housing law, affordable housing finance, and state and federal programs, including CDBG, HOME, CalHome, PLHA, and related grant programs. They will be an effective communicator who builds productive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders. The successful candidate will be solutions-oriented, customer-focused, and skilled at balancing state housing mandates with community priorities. Requirements Candidates will have five years of experience in housing programs, community development, affordable housing finance, or a closely related field, including two years of experience in a supervisory or management capacity, and a bachelor's degree. Salary range is $99,532 - $131,630 annually, DOQE, supplemented by competitive benefits.
