Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Program Director for our Emergency Shelter program, a vital role committed to providing safe, supportive, and responsive shelter services to individuals experiencing homelessness and underserved communities. As a Program Director, you will lead the development, implementation, and management of shelter operations, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards while fostering a compassionate environment. Your leadership will drive program excellence, staff supervision, and community engagement to make a meaningful impact on the lives of those we serve. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate social services professional eager to lead with innovation and empathy in a fast-paced setting. Duties Oversee daily operations of the emergency shelter, ensuring safety, cleanliness, and adherence to policies and regulations. Lead program development initiatives to enhance service delivery and expand outreach efforts within underserved communities. Supervise social service program staff, including hiring, training, performance evaluations, and ongoing professional development. Manage relationships with community partners, government agencies, and stakeholders to coordinate resources and support services effectively. Develop and monitor program budgets, ensuring fiscal responsibility while maintaining high-quality services. Ensure compliance with all licensing requirements, safety standards, and organizational policies through regular audits and staff training. Write detailed reports on program outcomes, client progress, and operational challenges; communicate effectively with clients and team members. Experience Proven experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and disabilities in general within social service settings. Demonstrated leadership in social services administration with supervisory experience in behavioral health or related fields. Strong relationship management skills to foster community partnerships and stakeholder engagement. Extensive administrative experience including budgeting, program management, and compliance oversight. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) for documentation and reporting purposes. Experience working with underserved populations from diverse backgrounds; bilingual skills are highly valued. Skilled in team management, staff supervision, and social work practices; capable of guiding multidisciplinary teams toward shared goals. Exceptional writing skills for report writing, grant applications, policy documentation, and client communication. Technical project management experience in developing or supervising social service programs is preferred. Pay:
$75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
