Full Job Description Job Description Position Summary:
The Director of Conflict Resolution Services reports to the Executive Director of the Student Resolution Center and provides leadership for conflict resolution programs, staff development, and strategic partnerships. The role oversees conflict coaching, restorative justice, mediation, training, and consultation while promoting privacy, fairness, and effective responses to student concerns. As a member of the leadership team, the Director also supports strategic planning, assessment, personnel and fiscal management, and departmental policies.Full consideration date:

Leads conflict resolution, mediation, restorative justice, and other interventions to help students and groups resolve complex conflicts. Advises and trains students and campus partners on conflict management and de-escalation. Builds and maintains partnerships with university departments, courts, law enforcement agencies, and other community organizations. Supervises staff and oversees programs, workshops, and daily unit operations. Manages budgets, student fee funding, marketing, and purchasing. Tracks conflict trends and reports emerging concerns. Evaluates program outcomes and supports strategic planning. Maintains accurate records and departmental reports. Other related duties.Conditions of Employment:
Pre-employment Criminal Background Check (required for new hires). Occasional travel may be required for training purposes.Supervision:
Supervises, hires, trains, and evaluates three full-time (FTE) professional staff: one. Restorative Justice Program Manager and two Assistant Directors of Conflict Resolution Services.Minimum Qualifications:
Master's degree in conflict resolution/conflict management, alternative dispute resolution, student personnel, higher education, counseling, social work, psychology or comparable degree. 5 years professional work experience in conflict resolution and/or mediation. Demonstrated experience planning and implementing educational programs, trainings, workshops, and/or classroom teaching. Supervisory experience.Preferred Qualifications:
Demonstrated working knowledge of Federal regulations and legal issues in higher education, including but not limited to Title IX, Campus SaVE Act, Clery Act, VAWA, ADA, Drug-Free Schools and Communities Act, and FERPA. Professional experience working in a higher education setting and/or within student affairs. Knowledge of theories and research in student development, conflict resolution, mediation, social justice, restorative justice, victim's rights and needs, due process, and other legal issues in higher education. Demonstrated written communication experience such as reports, proposals, professional correspondence, presentation content and materials, etc. 40-hour basic mediation certificate. 20-hour Restorative Justice Facilitator training or experience facilitating restorative justice processes. Experience providing conflict coaching. Demonstrated experience effectively managing a large and complex caseload. Experience working with the criminal justice system.
