Summary Statement The Casual Seasonal Community Relations Coordinator at the Auditor of Accounts Office plays a crucial role in supporting and promoting the office's mission of ensuring transparency and accountability to Delaware citizens. Reporting directly to the Policy Analyst, this position involves a range of responsibilities aimed at enhancing public engagement and communication.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n Preferred Qualification Applicants who do not possess the preferred qualification will still be eligible to compete for this position if job requirements are met.\r\n\r\n\r\nPreferred experience using the following applications:\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n Canva\r\n Adobe\r\n Power BI\r\n Data visualization tools\r\n Microsoft\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n Essential Functions Essential functions are fundamental, core functions common to all positions in the class series and are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all job duties for any one position in the class. REQUIREMENTS
for Community Relations Coordinator\r\nApplicants must have education, training and/or experience demonstrating competence in each of the following areas:\r\n\r\n Three years experience in public relations or�media relations to establish and promote a positive image�and inform or influence specific audiences through the use of internal and external communications such as public forums, print or electronic media, speech writing, writing/editing, marketing, advertising,�or special events.\r\n Three years experience in gathering, organizing, formatting, translating, or interpreting information into forms more easily understood by the media or public, and disseminating the information through the use of print, broadcast or electronic media.�\r\n Three years experience in public speaking which includes gathering, preparing and presenting information to the public or media groups.\r\n Six months experience in developing, planning and directing public events, campaigns, programs, or services to meet community needs.\r\n Six months experience in determining and evaluating alternative courses of action to resolve or mitigate controversial issues.\r\n Six months experience in developing policies, procedures or programs for dissemination of information to the public or media groups.\r\n\r\n Additional Posting Information This is a Casual/Seasonal position which is a non-pension eligible position without healthcare and/or other benefits.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nA writing sample will be requested at the time of interview.\r\n Conditions of Hire Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
