HVAC Install Helper

Schagrin Home Comfort Products is a 4th generation family-owned local business specializing in propane delivery and the installation and service of gas appliances including standby generators, gas logs and fireplaces, and other comfort and convenience products. Objective To assist with the delivery and installation of Schagrin Home Comfort Products equipment and merchandise for residential and commercial HVAC customers in a safe and professional manner. Essential Functions Perform and assist with installation of residential and light commercial HVAC systems. General knowledge of how to service and perform start-ups of HVAC systems. Perform and assist with miscellaneous tasks asked by Installation or Operations Manager Maintain records of all work performed and materials used. Report on time to shop or service tech they are assigned to each day. Maintain safe work habits. Help maintain cleanliness, neatness, and safety of job site, building, lot, and company vehicles. Maintain and care for all shop tools, machines, and required equipment. Check with Dispatch before leaving any location for additional instructions or work assignments. Report any problems at the time of the call to Installation Managers/Supervisor. Represent Schagrin Home Comfort Products in a professional and courteous manner at all times. Schedule Requirements Available to work 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Please note that the workday ends when the last call is completed, not exactly at 4pm each day. Your actual clock out time may vary from day-to-day depending on the calls. Minimum Qualifications Minimum of 6 months-1 year of experience working hands-on in the HVAC field. Previous education in the HVAC is highly preferred. Universal EPA refrigerant certification preferred. Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and diagrams. Capable of reading rulers and accurately computing measurements. Capable of lifting, pushing, pulling up to 50 pounds. Ability to understand and follow instructions in English. Mechanical aptitude and good problem-solving abilities required. Ability to bend, stoop, twist, and move freely in the performance of the position. Capable of handling work environment that is indoors and outdoors in all types of weather. Job requires working at heights using ladders or platforms, as well as working in crawlspaces and small areas. Must comply with Schagrin Home Comfort Products and DOT drug testing policy. Physical Demands/Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and stand and walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Pay:

$16.75 - $20.00 per hour
