Job Description

The Transit and Mobility Administrator is responsible for planning, coordinating, and administering public transit services and transit-related programs for the City of Hallandale Beach. This position focuses on managing transit operator contracts for the Community Shuttle Program (CSP) and overseeing Broward County Transit approved routes and schedules. The position serves as the City's primary point of contact for the County's Community Shuttle Program and is responsible for the City's public transportation system and operations, and other mobility system components. The overall objective of this position is to support a safe, efficient, and well-connected mobility network that delivers enhanced transportation solutions throughout the City. To view full job description, please click on the job title: Transit & Mobility Administrator Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in transportation planning, civil engineering, public administration, business administration or related field or an associate's degree with six (6) years of transit-related experience. Three (3) years of experience in transit planning or operations, grants, contract administration, or related field. Transit Program Management experience preferred or an equivalent combination of education, certification, training, and/or experience. Must have a valid Florida driver's license with satisfactory driving record throughout employment. Must have National Incident Management System (NIMS) certification (level to be determined by job classification requirements) or obtain within one year of employment. In addition to meeting the minimum qualifications listed above, an individual must be able to perform each of the established essential functions in order to perform this job successfully.
